3.Qualifications

(1) Ph.D. and/or M.A. in English-related fields or their equivalent degrees, or equivalent teaching and/or research experience
(2) Native speaker of English
(3) Japanese language competence sufficient to participate in meetings, contribute to committee work, and fulfill other university duties
(4) Will reside within an 80-kilometer radius of the Nagoya Campus of Aichi University in Nakamura-ku, Nagoya, if selected

Employment Period

From April 1, 2018, until mandatory retirement at the age of 70

Communication Skills, Communicative English, Reading, Practical English, TOEIC, and other related courses

7.Application Materials

 (1) Resume/CV using the Aichi University form with recent photo attached (one original and three copies)

(2) The applicant’s degrees/diplomas (four copies) 
(3) List of publications and presentations (four copies) 
(4) Three significant publications (four copies of each publication in the case of a research article, and one original copy in the case of a book) 
(5) A syllabus for the course “Communication Skills” (one semester, fifteen 90-minute sessions) (three copies) 
(6) A short statement regarding the applicant’s vision and thoughts for teaching English at Aichi University (up to 1,200 words) (three copies) 
(7) Letters of reference from two qualified individuals, sealed and sent together with all other application materials (one original of each letter of reference)
(8) List of the names and contact information of three individuals whom we may contact 
Each of them should belong to different institutions. Two of the three individuals in this list must be the writer of a letter of reference. (three copies)  

Notes:  Applicants may be asked to hold a demonstration class in front of the screening committee during the interview.  

All application documents, including the resume/CV, publications, and book will not be returned to the applicant. If you wish for application materials to be returned, please include a “chakubarai denpyo” form (paid by the recipient upon delivery) with your application.
