Sakura 21 Courses

As part of the Sakura 21 initiative, a number of courses have been redesigned with the aim of equipping students with a fundamental grasp of Japan's politics, economy, society and history. Each course has been formulated to enrich students' understanding of both traditional and contemporary Japanese culture, and furthermore with the intent of developing in students the necessary communication tools that will allow them to explain and convey Japanese culture to a foreign audience. Looking to imbue in students a cross-disciplinary understanding of Japan, we have put the Sakura 21 initiative in motion over a wide variety of courses.
