Founded in 1951, the Community Research Institute was established for research into the culture of the Tokai district and the local community. It uses various kinds of materials and different modes of study such as literature, history, sociology, and geography, tracking the region where Aichi University is located. In recent years, research activity has become more comprehensive and has extended to the five prefectures of the Tokai region: Aichi, Gifu, Mie, Shizuoka, and Nagano.

TOPICS

The center collects, organizes and deciphers ancient documents and publishes the data they possess regarding the local area.In addition, the attached museum owns earthenware of the Yayoi period and other materials that are used for exhibitions and symposia.
