Compilation of a Comprehensive Chinese-Japanese  Dictionary symbolizes the close relations between Aichi University and China. It is a bridge of friendship between Japan and China. There have been two revisions since the first edition in 1968. The project has developed into a Chinese dictionary with 2,700 pages and 140,000 words. Investigation and research are continuing to update the contents.

TOPICS

The dictionary was highly esteemed when it was published. The Mainichi Newspaper extolled it, saying, "Japan has constructed a monumental work by publishing this dictionary. We can be proud of it in world academic circles of Chinese." The Comprehensive Chinese-Japanese Dictionary was published in 1968 for the first time. It has been revised twice since then. The third edition with total revisions made will be published in 2009.The results of our Chinese research are passed along to society through this Chinese dictionary.
